For many, traveling to Mexico is a long trip. A jet lag is a common phenomenon when crossing more than three time zones. Your body's clock is set to sleep and wake naturally at times set in the place where you live. Travel to a significantly different time zone, and your body clock gets all confused! This may result in insomnia, fatigue, concentration problems, headaches, among other symptoms. Before traveling, avoid alcohol and caffeine, keep a healthy diet, take a good sleep the night before your departure, and avoid too much stress at the last minute. The most important, after arriving in Mexico, is to readjust your schedule as soon as possible. Try to eat and sleep at normal times. On your first day in Mexico, it´s best not to schedule too many activities, give your body a bit of time to adjust.
